Santa Pod 28th-29th June 2014

The 2 Lucas Oil Nick Good Motorsport cars in action

The Event Report

Hi reader

This weekend was the Summer Nationals round at Santa Pod with 37 cars entered for a 32 car field, Brad's first run saw him in 13th place so safely qualified, the second run he didn't improve but others did so Brad slipped to 20th place. Unfortunatly the rain came and the qualifying session concluded with Brad in 20th. When we checked the race order Brad had again drawn his team mate and mentor Dave Catton in the Lucas Oil / Nick Good Motorsport sister car!

Sunday

The first round of eliminations was eagerly awaited by all the crowd and competitors alike, with no team orders and identical cars this was to be Brad's sternest test, Dave got a little excited by the prospect of racing his pupil and red lit by 2 thousands of a second handing an easy victory to Brad, so the first encounter of the pair of Lucas Oil Dragsters went to Brad !

Once again the rain came and the event was cancelled so with Brad winning the first round of eliminations this result  means that Brad maintains his second place in the championship.

This is a great result for Brad and keeps the pressure on the other teams who are now aware that Brad's position in the championship is a testament to the ex junior dragster drivers skills.

Kindest Regards
