European Finals 2014

Brad was competing at the FIA European Finals at Santa Pod in Northampton this weekend with qualifying starting on Thursday and a weather forecast of no rain for the 4 days this was going to be a great 4 days racing.

We had a very busy qualifying with 8 rounds of qualifying it was always going to be close, Brad finished a very creditable 11th place with a 007 ( 7 thousands of a second package ) with the 32nd bump spot place being taken by team mate Dave Catton with a time of 0.0422 ( 4 hundredths ), in this very competitive event 15th place was a 0.009 thousandths of a second and there were 10 competitors didn’t make the field !

Brad got through the first round of eliminations on a bye and was then drawn against championship leader Scott Hauser, Brad unfortunately made a very rare error and red lit by 2 hundredths of a second gifting the win to Scott and almost certainly the championship will be going Scotts way at the last meeting at the National Finals meeting at Santa Pod in 2 weeks time.

It was still a very successful weekend for Brad who still comes away from the event in second place in the UK National Championship and with the runner up spot still achievable. Brad will have to be on his game with a further 6 competitors in with a chance of stealing the second place Brad has held all season.

European Finals Update
